Interesting poster! Were ONP posts concentrated in specific subreddits? For instance, are they most posts in nicotine/tobacco-related subreddits or other places of different or more general interests?
Thanks for your question! Yes, most of these posts came from several subreddits, including “Snus”, “QuitVaping”, and “stopsmoking”, “NicotinePouches”, “zyn”, “DippingTobacco”, “Nicotine”, “QuittingJUUL”.
Thanks! Would be interesting if people are using ONPs to quit vaping…
Great poster! Did you find that health concerns mentioned in posts were similar to that of cigarettes (e.g. lung cancer, oral cancer, pre-mature aging) or were they more broad?
Good question! We have not examined health effects in these posts since we only have 653 posts. However, we are collecting more data on ONPs from Twitter, which will allow us to check their potential health effects in the future.
Thank you for your sharing. I am worried that I lack creative ideas. It is your article that makes me full of hope. Thank you. But, I have a question, can you help me?
